Grow old with you

This old couple looks so genuine with their smile. this is what I called a carefree smile. Sounds creepy, but I am sooo jealous with them! Wonder what they thought when they made a vow as husband  and wife to be.

The old man is an ordinary cashew farmer in east Flores and the women is a traditional 'Ikat' weaver for nearly two third of her age. The land where they live, Flores,  has rough and dry land contour and cashew is one of their best commodities in farming field. Flores cashew has milky taste and one of the best in the country. But making a life as a cashew living is hard..I just knew it since I worked for an organic exporter company not so long ago.

Let's say to produce an ounce of cashew will take so much time and hardwork. The moment of the cashew is harvested from the tree and peeled them from the fruit and sun dried the cashew for weeks ....before it's really dry ...so that another farmers can manually peeled the testa one by one with manual handwork. Continued with another sundried process and final production at the factory before packed and sell or even exported. Imagine a full sack of  raw cashew only produced an once or more for the qualified quantity. Shame...and those exporter, though they pay the farmer at a good price, I am not sure it's worth to pay their hardworks. and the cashew heavenly taste good!!

What about the lady? She's been doing weaving most of her life. amazing. and she still use the same traditional machine as ever. All of weaving textile done manually...and she depends her selling only from tourist/visitor who came by. the color, the pattern, the material, its somehow resemble a mystic and ancient style... most of the people who buy her textile give extra for the bonus.

And they are happily living their simple life since they are married. I wonder if the complex and modern life out here are happened to cross their life. Look at Kardashian marriage which just last for couple of months. shame...and they wasted zillion for their marriage. She needs to learn from the Flores old couple how to appreciate every single penny and maintain happiness for the sake of marriage itself. Right..am nobody to judge those people. But you know, having a cross view with this couple made me so envy. When you are old and your couple has wrinkle without muscles, will you ever comfort each other and simply sending text like 'miss your scent...' or 'dont forget to eat your lunch box' ..

With your routine every single day, and if you have been married for ages..I mean, will you ever bothered to make a sweet thank you letter? that's amazing...those who really valued the meaning of a lifetime vow....

mmm deary God....I think I have a wish too for this matter...Lord grace..can you hear that?
