Warung Lesehan Riang, Pemuteran, North Bali

Tucked well off the main street, around 15 meters inside, this warung (Indonesian small restaurant) is cosy, quiet and serves pretty good food specifically for freshly caught sea fish. This place wears it's identity on it's sleeve as is set in a Balinese family's front yard. The food is incredibly honest and wonderfully cooked.

Like sitting in the garden at home and having mom make you Indonesian food. So comfortable, and attentive and was just a fabulous experience. The first visit we couldn't stop smiling about such an overwhelming amount of heartiness. Like anywhere else in Bali, plenty offerings in special corners of the house compound..

This quiet family run warung is literally in their front-yard. They have two family dogs, I am not a dog person but these two are quietly guarding the house. Well behaved..!

A bunch of dried coconut shells and charcoal to grill the fish. Don't let this put you off, as we thought that the food was amazing and locals seem to agree as well!

This is Bali food at its best: honest, fresh and lovingly prepared.  We had brunch as we skipped breakfast. The four of us with freshly grilled  2 kgs fish (its huge) and yammy soup, steamed rice, keropok, two styled sambals and mineral water for $13..  wow!
