Rice Terrace Walking in Jatiluwih
While the weather was overcast with possible threatening
rain, the Jatiluwih Rice
Fields never fails its splendid view; about 1.5 hours from Ubud or Kuta. With so
many rice fields in the island, Jatiluwih deserves something special.
It was designated a UNESCO Cultural Landscape in 2012. The history and preservation of manual
agriculture coupled with the most majestic color green provides a peek into
Bali's rich world of traditions.
The rice field is massive and
indeed a feasting for the eyes, especially when it is set against some volcano
mountains. As fresh wind was blowing across the miles, chirping
birds soared overhead.. For seconds it feels extremely peaceful!
